Odell Stevens of Norfork, Arkansas
Odell Stevens, son of the late Lucine Stevens and Erma Rasco Stevens, was born December 6, 1929 in Lamesa, Texas. He departed this life May 8, 2017 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 2 days. In August 1948 he was united in marriage to Oneida Whitfield and they raised two children. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years in Texas, he was employed by White Outdoor Advertising. He retired after 48 years of employment. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years: Onieda Stevens of Norfork; one son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Sharon Stevens of Winter Springs, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law: Paula and David Cardona of Grandbury, Texas; five grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Harrell Stevens.
Graveside funeral service will be Saturday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Galatia Cemetery with David Cardona officiating.
