FAYETTEVILLE — William V. "Bill" Cosby, 80, of Fayetteville died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

He was born July 17, 1927, in Fayetteville, the son of Virgil A. and Myrtle Lockhart Cosby. He was a graduate of Fayetteville Public Schools and Fayetteville Business College. He was employed for many years with Otasco and Montgomery Ward. He also owned and operated Cosby Real Estate and ABC Video. He was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Fayetteville, where he served in a number of positions, including deacon, elder and trustee. He also had been a member of the Fayetteville Sequoyah Kiwanis Club.

He is survived by his wife, Zevelyn McDougal Cosby of Fayetteville; two daughters, Linda Hornaday and husband Floyd of Fayetteville, and Kylah Baker and husband Bob of Fayetteville; two granddaughters, Mary Hornaday Swift and husband Brian of Baltimore, and Katelin Hornaday of Fayetteville; and a twin sister, Bettye Reese and husband Jim of Prairie Grove.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. A private graveside service will be held. The Rev. Phil Misenheimer will officiate.

FAYETTEVILLE — Zevelyn Elizabeth McDougal Cosby, age 92, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Mundell (Benton County). Ark., the daughter of Thomas S. and Caroline Schnitzer McDougal.

She attended Fayetteville and Rogers Public Schools and the University of Arkansas. During World War II she was employed in the Signal Corps Division of the Army Air Force at Scott Field in Illinois and by the U.S. War Service, Office of Censorship, in New York City.

After returning to Arkansas, she taught for three years in the Carroll County School System. She retired from Arkansas Western Gas Company in 1987. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Fayetteville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William V. "Bill" Cosby; a brother, Leland McDougal; and three sisters, Isabelle Torrans, Verdel Heller and Marjorie McDougal.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Hornaday and husband, Floyd, of Fayetteville, and Kylah Baker and husband, Bob, of Greenland; two granddaughters,
Mary Hornaday Swift and husband, Brian, and Katelin Hornaday; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at First Christian Church in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Ryan Pfeiffer officiating. Private interment will follow, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
