Mary Joyce Stuard Byrd, age 73, of Hermitage, AR. died Monday November 5, at home. Born June 5, 1939 in Bradley County, AR. a daughter of the late Robert Stuard and Velma Lucille Bolin Stuard she was a homemaker, member of Faustina Baptist Church and the widow of Willie Byrd who died September 18, 2000. Also, preceding her in death was a son Floyd Byrd, daughter Brenda Greer, brother Robert Stuard, and 3 grandchildren. Survivors are 3 sons Willie Byrd, Richard Byrd and Lloyd Byrd all of Hermitage, AR. 4 daughters Betty Rhinehart, Chidester, AR., Linda Clay, Warren, AR., Winnie Bastien, Banks, AR., Mary Uribe, Hermitage, AR. 1 brother Billy Gene Stuard, Hermitage, AR., 3 step sisters Everlee Wooley, Harrell, AR., Vada Moody, and Shirley Alford both of El Dorado, AR., 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 8, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Bill Gardner officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial was in Gravelridge Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Richard Uribe, Willie Byrd, Buddy Byrd, Junior Uribe, Billy Clay, Fred Clay, Josh Angle and Phillip Earnest.
