Lavelle Selph Wilkerson Taylor, age 72, of Hermitage, Arkansas, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born April 5, 1938 in Dallas County, AR, a daughter of the late George Selph and Wilma Rogers Selph. She retired as a Registered Nurse from Bradley County Medical Center and Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Lavelle was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wilkerson, who died April 2, 1978. Surviving are 3 sons- Mike Wilkerson, Marty Wilkerson, and David Wilkerson- all of Hermitage, AR; 1 daughter- Marilyn Johnson of Warren, AR; 1 brother- Carroll Selph of Gurdon, AR; 4 sisters- Eunice “Sissy” Bettis of Marshall, TX, Ola Merle “Doolie” Wingfield of Arkadelphia, AR, Margie Nutt and Judy Hollingsworth- both of Sparkman, AR; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was 10am, Monday, April 19, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Inzer and Rev. Don Smith officiating. Music was provided by Amanda Fenocchi, David Fenocchi, and Susie Wolfe. Burial was in Gravelridge Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jerry Hollingsworth, Mark Hollingsworth, John Selph, Roger Wingfield, Allen Nutt, and Joel Hollingsworth. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Pennington, John Belin, and Mike Lee. Memorials to the Gravel Ridge Cemetery Association are appreciated: 108 Hwy 160 East, Hermitage, AR 71647.
