Jimmy N. Starnes, 54, of Bluff City, died Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Proctor Chapel. Burial will follow in Bluff City Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. Mr. Starnes was a pulpwood dealer for Nekosa Paper Co., a life-long resident of Bluff City and a veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Purifoy Starnes; one daughter, Miss Tina Starnes of Bluff City and one brother, Jack Starnes of Bluff City. (Camden News - December 23, 1977)
