Murry Clyde Weeks, 71, of 904 W. Second St., died Saturday in a local hospital. Born June 5, 1895 in Banks, he was the son of Sally Murry and Sam Weeks. He was a retired employe of Lion Oil Refinery, a resident of Union County for the past 42 years, a veteran of World War I and a member of Westside Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Weeks of El Dorado; a son; Dwight Weeks of Dallas, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. B. B. Nelson of Eau Gallie, Fla.; three brothers, H. R. Weeks of Pittsburgh, Pa., Tom Weeks of Fordyce and N. S. Weeks of Hanford, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. George Carroll of Bastrop, La.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in McFarlane Cemetery in Banks under the direction of Young's. Active pallbearers are Doyle Norman, A. B. Carter, Delbert Wagner, Lyn Forbes, I. D. Nicks and Robert Pyle. Honorary pallbearers are all active and retired employes of Lion Oil Co., Dr. Larkin Wilson and Dr. Frank Clark. (El Dorado Times - February 12, 1968)
