Mrs. Eva Jones, 62 of Hot Springs, formerly of Camden, died early Tuesday morning in a local hospital, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Jones, wife of Earl Jones, was a member of the Grand Avenue Methodist Church of Hot Springs. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Hammond of Texarkana, Texas and Mrs. Linda Freeland of Camden; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Matthews and Mrs. Villa Mae Johnson of Pine Bluff, and Mrs. Hazel Thompson of Benton; three brothers, Andrew, Leslie, and Harold Hyman, all of Camden; three grandchildren, Jana Hammond, Donja and Randall Freeland. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Freeland, 362 Fairview Rd. Camden. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in McFarland Cemetery near Banks. (Camden News - October 26, 1971)
