James "Short" Lewis, 76, of Mulberry, Arkansas, died Monday, November 8, 2010 in a local hospital.
He was born October 15, 1934 in Franklin County.

He was a retired iron worker for the local #584, a farmer, and a mason.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Lewis of the home; one daughter, Angela Brownfield of Mulberry, AR; two sons, Terry Lewis of Mulberry, AR and Brett Lewis of Brentwood, TN; two sisters, Mary Wakefield of Fort Smith, AR and Janie Lewis of Fort Smith, AR; one brother, Phillip Lewis of Fort Smith, AR; three grandchildren, Brandi Funmaker of Van Buren, AR, Josh Brownfield of Mulberry, AR, Mary Lewis of Brentwood, TN; three great-grandchildren, Tayler, Zachary, and Lake.

Graveside service was 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 11, 2010 at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Peggy Jeanne Anderson Lewis, 77, of Mulberry died Friday, October 4, 2013, in a local hospital.
She was born October 4, 1936, in Franklin County to the late Woodrow and Hazel Anderson.

She was a retired Postmaster for the Mulberry Post Office, a member of the Church of Christ in Mulberry, and loved to play tennis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Short" Lewis, and a sister, Virginia Richards.

She is survived by a daughter, Angela Brownfield of Mulberry; two sons, Terry Lewis of Mulberry, and Brett Lewis of Franklin, TN; two sisters, Judy Dees of Branson, MO, and Vicki Anderson of Reno, NV; a brother, Woodrow Anderson, Jr. of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Brandi Funmaker of Van Buren, Josh Brownfield of Mulberry, Mary Ellen Lewis and Kinton James Lewis of Franklin, TN; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Mulberry Church of Christ with interment to follow at New Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Josh Brownfield, Paul Lewis, David Richards, Rick Richards, Bryan Beneux, and Paul Beneux. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Callahan, Bobby Nixon, Fred Smithers, David Beneux, and Bobby Thrasher.
