Amelia Beatrice DeSalvo Paladino, age 101, of Center Ridge, Arkansas passed away, July 30, 2013. She was the oldest of twelve children born in Center Ridge on November 2, 1911 to Joe Luke DeSalvo and Mary Rossi DeSalvo. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Catholic Point, Center Ridge, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband A.A. "Doc" Paladino; sons: Leo, Carl, and Kenneth; daughter-in-law: Joan Bennett "Tex" Paladino; grandson: Ricky Paladino; brothers: Paul, Ed, Vincent, Bob DeSalvo and infant brother; and sister: Julia Paladino. She is survived by her son: Ed Paladino of Plumerville; daughter: Rose Ella Beck and husband John of Center Ridge; daughters-in-law: Florence Paladino of Lumberton, Texas and Jo Rossi of Center Ridge; two brothers: Richard DeSalvo of Center Ridge and Gene DeSalvo of Morrilton; three sisters: Lorene and Irene Dumboski of North Little Rock and Tootsie Hoelzeman of Morrilton. She was a very special and loving grandmother to nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving caregivers: Yvonne, Ruthie, Regina, and Terri. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Catholic Point, Center Ridge with Rev. T.J. Hart and Rev. Leonard Tuzzolo officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, at Harris Funeral Home with a Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery Fund in Center Ridge. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Dr. Michael Koone, Janet Hall, Marinelle Paladino, Arkansas Area Agency on Aging caregivers and Arkansas Hospice for their loving care ad kindness given to our dear Mother and our family for the past seven years.
