Lottye June Sims Burnett of Marion, died Wed., Aug 30, 2006 in West Memphis. She was 87 years old.

Services were held at Kernodle Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Sat., Sep. 2, 2006with Mr. Fred Strasser officiating, burial in Smith Chapel Cememtery.

She was born June 12, 1919 in Blytheville.

Mrs. Burnett lived most of her adult life in Cross County. She was a member of the Wynne Church of Christ. She worked at a local flower shop and enjoyed working with and growing flowers. She managed and owned several restaurants in Wynne and loved working with the public.

Survivors are son: David Lee Jones of Marion; step-son: Norton Burnett of Antioch, Tn; daughters: Geneva O. Preston of Gilmer, Texas, Camilla J. Boehmer of New Concord, Ky., Glenda K. Rook of Memphis, Tn., Anita R. Griffin of Marion; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Page Henry Sims and Lillie Mae Charles Sims; sister: Goldie Wilson; husbands: Emmet L. Jones and Thomas Allen Burnett.
