When Vincent Anthony James 'Jim' Zarlingo was born on October 18, 1895, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, his father, Alexander, was 36 and his mother, Michelina, was 37. He married Maria Lucia 'Lucy' Lanni on January 22, 1922, in his hometown. They had one child during their marriage. He died on April 3, 1960, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, at the age of 64.
