Sammie Jewel Battles, 87, of Mulberry, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 25, 2016 in Ozark, Arkansas.
She was born February 5, 1929, in Cravens Community, Franklin County, Arkansas to Milton and Hattie Wilburn Huggins.
She was a homemaker and seamstress, and was a member of Freewill Baptist Church of Alma.
Sammie was preceded in death by her husband Walter Henry Jr., three sons, David, Kenny, Jackie Dale Battles, and a grandson Jay Tyler Battles.
She is survived by a son Jim and wife Marsha Battles, and a daughter Charlotte Rose, and a sister Frances Cagle all of Mulberry. Also 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark with burial at New Cemetery in Mulberry, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
