Alton Thomas Carr, age 74, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010. He was born October 21, 1935 in Center Ridge, Arkansas a son of Jude Carr and Lilly Anderson Carr. He was a member of Kilgore Freewill Baptist Church and an auto mechanic. Survivors include his wife Shirelene Howard Carr of Springfield; daughters, Elaine Primeaux and husband Chris of Texarkana, Texas, Kathy Garrett and husband Mark of Springfield, Tamara Hill and husband Gary of Springfield and Sherry Davis and husband Kelly of Pottsville; brother, Bobby Wayne Carr of Bryant; sisters, Dorothy Flowers of Center Ridge and Leta Stroud of Conway; grandchildren, Staci Morgason and husband Steven, Hollie Hudson and husband Eric, Misti Thomas and husband Jody, Matthew Garrett, Danny Hill and wife Haylee, Amy Hill, Thomas Hill, John Hill and Morgan Davis; great-grandchildren, Carson, Callie and Wilson Morgason, Ella and Presley Hudson, Madison, Mckenzee and Marli Thomas, Teddy and Lillie Hill, and Bryan Kirkendoll. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Landon and J.M. Carr. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Jeff Crowder, Bro. Ronnie Molloy and Bro. David Downum officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at the funeral home.
