Claudie F. James, 92, of Alma died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, in a local hospital. He was a member of the Mulberry Church of Christ, a retired employee of Garrison Furniture Manufacturing and a farmer. He was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Franklin County to the late Frank and Ruby Hunter James.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald James; two sisters, Hattie Wilbanks and Edna Smalley; and two brothers, Benham and V.C. James.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at Mulberry Church of Christ with burial at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Edna James of the home; one daughter, Edwina Clifton of Van Buren; three sons, Herman James of Alma, Billy James of Bryant and Dwight James of Alma; one sister, Louise Brant of Bartlesvile, Okla.; one brother, Jack James of Mulberry; 32 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Darrell James, Bobby James, Rick James, Gerald James, Daniel Willmon and Chase Embree.
Honorary pallbearer will be Billy James

Edna E. James of Alma died Thursday, June 2, 2016, in her home.
She was born July 17, 1917 in Mulberry, and was the widow of Claude James.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mulberry Church of Christ.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mulberry Church of Christ with interment at New Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Alma.
She is survived by one daughter, Edwina Clifton of Alma; two sons, Herman James and Dwight James, both of Alma; one sister Olie Patterson(Galvin) of Mulberry; 18 grand children; 37 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky James, Bobby James, Darrell James, Michael Willmon, Daniel Willmon, Chase Embree, Aaron Willmon and Jeremy Brewer
