Leonard Edward Compton 88, of Morrilton died on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Morrilton. He was born July 4, 1924 in Grundy, Virginia. The son of Garfield and Lizzy Compton. He was a retired carpenter and beef cattle farmer. Leonard loved his cattle and farm and loved going to the sale barn. He was a hard worker and worked his own cattle and hay until his health prevented him from doing so. He was a resident of Brookridge Cove in Morrilton for the last year. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Pearl Compton and grandson Will McGary. Survivors include: Leona (Compton) Forester, Five daughters: Marian Wahrmund, Sharlene Lewis, DeOnne Pruitt, Jacqueline Oversech, Tanya McGary, and one son, Danny Compton, 14 grandchildren: Jason Wahrmund, Bryan Wahrmund and wife Karen, Traci Criswell, Jennifer Haley and husband Tony, Suzanna Lloyd and husband Michael, Laura Toton, Dena Kay Polk and husband Clint, Aaron Pruitt and wife Jenna, Lindsey McGary, D.J. Compton and Christy Compton and 17 great grandchildren.Visitation for Mr. Compton will be 6-8PM, Friday, March 29, 2013 at Bob Neal and Sons Chapel. Services will be held 10:00A.M., Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Don Williams officiating. Service and arrangements are by Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home, #5 Bruce St. Morrilton, AR 72110, 501-354-1638.
