Hazel Henrietta Burkholder Stephens, 87, of DeSoto, Texas, formerly of Clarksville, died Sunday, February 17, 2002. She was a native of Barstow, Texas, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs William Burkholder, widow of Cleed Stephens, graduate of Barstow High School, former employee of the Farm Security Administration, highway patrol, retail floral industry, retail clothing sales, and the Pecos,Texas School System Administration offices, and was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Ralph Burkholder, Walter "Buck" Burkholder, John Burkholder and Wilson
"Bill" Burkholder; and 3 sisters, Flossie Nutt, Viola Howrey, and Pauline Wright. Survivors are 1 son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Melissa Stephens of DeSoto, Texas; 1 grandson, Andrew Stephens of DeSoto, Texas; 1 sister, Gertrude Hestes of Fort Worth, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
