Bobby Joe Polk, age 77, of Morrilton, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. He was born November 9, 1939, in Center Ridge, a son of the late Velmer Polk and the late Lizzie Johnson Polk. He was a cattle farmer, a member of the Conway County Riding Club, and of the Baptist faith. He loved life and touched many people's hearts throughout his life. Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Virginia Polk; daughters: Sharon Loyd and husband James of Plumerville, Amber Murphy and husband Regen of Plumerville; three grandsons: Lane Murphy, Jim Bob Loyd, and Justin Loyd; one granddaughter: Bailey Loyd; six great-grandchildren; one brother: Carl Polk and wife Ida of Oppelo; and numerous extended family and friends. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Bill Polk and Tommy Polk. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Harris Chapel with Bro. Craig Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church.
