Lyda Virginia Harrison, formerly of Clarksville, Arkansas, was born June 5, 1919, in Jackson, Tennessee, and passed away June 29, 2015, at her home in Manhattan, Kansas, at the age of 96.She was a retired Mathematics Teacher, enjoyed computers and traveling, attended and graduated from Bradford High School in Bradford, Tennessee, Union University in Jackson, Tennessee with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics, a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, and attended First United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church in Manhattan, Kansas. Lyda was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Harrison; her parents: Reverend Lyn and Sarah Ann Skinner Claybrook; and a brother and sister in law, Reverend P E Claybrook and wife, Alwayne.She is survived by 2 daughters: Sarah H Goodman and husband, David Goodman, MD, of Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico (formerly of Clarksville); Nora Ransom and husband, Michel Ransom, PHD, of Manhattan, Kansas; a brother, Lyn Claybrook and wife, Dot; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Claybrook of Little Rock, Arkansas; 2 sisters: Martha Tidewell and husband, Robert, of Pigeon Ford, Tennessee; MaryAnne Haigis and husband, Sam, of Howe, Texas; 2 grandchildren: Jessica Weed and husband, Ken, of Spokane, Washington; Brian Ransom of Gainesville, Georgia; and 3 great-grandchildren: Annalyse, Avery, and Aerighly Weed of Spokane, Washington.
