Dorothy Ann Johnson, age 81 of Ashdown, Arkansas, passed quietly from this life on November 11, 2017 at her home. She was a long time employee of Kaufman Seeds, Inc. Starting in 1977 and working until after it's closing in 2011.. She served on its Board of Directors and was a bookkeeper. For a number of years, she was on the Ashdown Chamber of Commerce, working with various civic projects.
Dorothy enjoyed traveling to Branson, Northwest Arkansas for craft fairs and fall foliage tours and Las Vegas. She loved to read, play bridge, have lunches with friends, and an occasional slot machine. Family was her world. She attended Trinity Baptist and Ogden First Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband William Loyd " Bill" Johnson in January 1985 and her parents Jim Fondren, Mary Fondren Johnson and stepfather Jack Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children William Loyd "Junior" Johnson and finance Leslie Westbrook, Debra and Loyd Terry.
Brothers Ed and Janet Fondren and Billy Roy and Tina Fondren. Two grandchildren Jennifer Neiman and Tyler Cooper, two great grandchildren Emily and Abi , her Kaufman Seeds family along with a host of family and friends
A time of remembrance and visitation will be held at Madden Funeral Home on Monday, November 13 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Grave side services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, November 14 at 2 pm
