ALABAM -- Milton Darel "Milt" Thompson, 88, of Alabam, Ark., died July 28, 2013, at Countryside Retirement Center in Huntsville, Ark. He was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Qualls, Okla., the son of Allie Fields and Martha "Mattie" Faddis Thompson.
He was a retired rural letter carrier, farmer and veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. He was a member of Presley Chapel United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a 57-year member and senior past master of Huntsville Lodge No. 364, Free and Accepted Masons. He served on the boards of the Forum-Alabam Fire Department and Madison
County Conservation District.
Survivors include his wife; one brother; two sisters; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home. Masonic Rites by Huntsville Lodge No. 364, Free and Accepted Masons. Interment will be in the Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville Ark.

ALABAM -- Lenora Jean Thompson, 88, of Alabam, Ark., died Oct. 2, 2015, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born June 22, 1927, at Alabam, Ark., the daughter of Lem and Jessie Montgomery Owens.
She was a homemaker and a former employee of Edwards Department Store and Quality Feed Store, both in Huntsville. She was a member of Presley Chapel United Methodist Church at Alabam, Huntsville Chapter #487, The Order of the Eastern Star and was the widow of Milton Darel "Milt" Thompson who preceded her in death on July 28, 2013.
Survivors include one brother; one sister and brother-in-law; one nephew and three nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m.on Tuesday.
