William Roy Sampley, 61, of Altus, Arkansas, died Friday, September 1, 2017 in Clarksville, Arkansas
He was born April 2, 1956 in Ozark, Arkansas to Roy Clifton and Lucy Lorene Hurt Sampley.
He was a Sanitation Supervisor at Tyson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry “Tubby” Sampley.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Kersey Sampley of Altus; four daughters, Crystall Wilson of Coal Hill, Arkansas, Johnna Morrow and Salina Sampley, both of Hunt, Arkansas, and Mercedes Sampley of Altus; three brothers, Ronnie Sampley of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Dennis and Jimmy Sampley, both of Ozark; three sisters, Patty Smith of Altus, Reba Lloyd of Coal Hill, and Gail Nunn of Texas; and two grandchildren, Wyatt Morrow and Billyjoe Cloos.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tom Dicus officiating and burial at Houston Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Clifton, Jason, and Chris Sampley, Kevin Phillips, Lacey Foster, and Shane Davidson; Honorary pallbearers are Luke Wilson, Michael Cloos, Johnny Morrow, Richard Johnson, and Jon Hughes.
