Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Fitzhugh Marcum, 89 of Hope, passed away, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in a local hospital. Mrs. Marcum was born October 19, 1922 in Oklahoma to Mr. and Mrs. William Fitzhugh. She was a home maker and attended the Church of Christ. Mrs. Marcum loved to sew, read and work in her She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Oscar Marcum, two sons; Oscar Wayne Marcum and Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Marcum and brother; John Wester.
Survivors include, her son, Ralph Edward Marcum and wife, Lou Ann of Vinemont, Alabama, seven grandchildren: Karen Rosenbaum, Kathy Greene, Andrea Lee Marcum, Delaina Elizabeth Marcum, Kelly Marcum, Ronnie Marcum and Lohren Marcum, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildren.
The Marcum Family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
Funeral service for Mrs. Marcum will be 2:00pm, Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope.
