Dr. Ben C. Jeters, 62, of Livingston, Tex., died suddenly while vacationing in Akron, Ohio Friday. He had been a resident of Livingston for the past 26 years where he was a chiropractor. Dr. Jeter was a member of the Methodist Church of Livingston, a member of the Trinity Lodge No. 14, and Noble Grand of the First Odd Fellows Lodge in Livingston. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Henderson Jeter of Livingston; one son, Don Jeter of Alvin, Tex.; four brothers, Robert Jeter of Wabbaseka, Ray Jeter, James Jeter and Monty Jeter, all of Akron; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Stanley and Mrs. Flo Huskea, both of Akron, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rumph Mortuary Chapel with Rev. M. W. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The body will arrive in El dorado early Tuesday. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Pauline Matthews, 721 El Dorado Ave. Masonic graveside services will be conducted by El Dorado Lodge No. 13.
