Mrs. Margie W. (Woods) Quick, resident of Conway, Arkansas, formerly of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, April 6, 2018, in the comfort of her home at the age of 83. She was born in Parsons, Tennessee on Monday, September 17, 1934, the daughter of Mr. Loys Woods and Mrs. Cresia (Inman) Woods.
Margie was a 1952 graduate of Parsons High School, and on June 25, 1954, she and Mr. Manuel Houston Quick were united in marriage. Mrs. Quick participated in bowling leagues and dancing clubs, and enjoyed painting. She had a fondness for animals of all kinds, and took delight in watching the birds around the feeders she had placed about. Margie had a passion for tending to her flowers, gardening, and canning. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and will forever be remember for her never-waning patience and loving heart.
Mrs. Quick was preceded in death by her parents, Loys and Cresia Woods; and a brother, James L. Woods.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Manuel Quick of the home; four sons, Dr. Robert H. Quick of Cedar Crest, New Mexico, Dr. Michael L. Quick and wife, Loretta, of Little Rock, Dr. Barry D. Quick and wife, Patricia, of Conway, and Dr. Donny L. Quick and wife, Jenny, of Conway; a sister, Martha Hickerson of Holladay, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Ashley E. Childers, Lauren M. Strother, Taylor L. Quick, Mason Quick, Annie Quick, Elizabeth Davis, Jackson Quick, Ally Quick, and Brady Quick; four great-grandchildren, Brighton Barnard, Cade Childers, Liam Strother, and Livi Strother; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Wynne with Brother James Fryer officiating. Interment will follow in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to service time.
