Mrs. Carolyn June (Gonser) Vaughn, resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, March 18, 2018, in the comfort of her home at the age of 75. She was born Thursday, June 11, 1942.
Carolyn and Danny Vaughn were united in marriage on May 2, 1975, the date that set the foundation for Carolyn to become a rock for her ever-growing family. She made a point to instill life lessons in those she held dear whenever the opportunity presented itself. Carolyn had a passion for gardening and caring for her treasured dogwood trees. She loved to keep her family close-knit by hosting a good cookout. She gave all she had to her family, and would take any measure necessary to be nearby with a helping hand for her loved ones. Mrs. Vaughn will forever be remembered for all of the love, respect, gratitude, and joy that she shared, which will be continually carried on for generations to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, David Hutson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Danny Ray Vaughn of the home; a son, Jimmy Garcia and wife, Lisa, of Wynne; two daughters, Debbie Thompson and husband, Johnny, of Wynne and Ina Gatlin and husband, Tony, of Wynne; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Wynne with Brother Tony Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to service time.
