Ellis Junior Jarrett, 70, of Ravenden, died June 4, 2009.

Born Aug. 6, 1938, at Newport, he was a farmer and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Flora Mae Jarrett; his second wife, Lois Jarrett, on Nov. 2, 2000, whom he married Jan. 1, 1981; two stepsons, Roger Maple and Dennis Maple; his parents, Dudley and Jewel Headrick Jarrett; and two brothers, Shelby Jarrett and James Jarrett.

Survivors include a son, Richard Jarrett and wife Renee, Pocahontas; three stepsons, Ray Maple, Imboden, Lugean Maple, Alicia, and Aubrey Maple, Concord; a stepdaughter, Sheila Ingram, Jonesboro; a son-in-law, James Young, Hoxie; a sister, Lois Gibson, Ravenden Springs; 18 grandchildren, including Camilla Beke of Hoxie, and Carrie Stone of Ravenden, who were his caregivers; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was Saturday at 2 p.m. at Old Military Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Ray Maple Jr., Ted Heard, Jeff McGenty, Terry McGenty, Bryan Stone and Dennis Maple Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Owens, Jerry Hinzman and Daniel Stone Sr.

Survivors include son, Richard Jarrett of Pocahontas; granddaughters, Camillia Beke (Bryan) of Hoxie and Carrie Stone (Daniel) of Ravenden; son-in-law, James Young of Hoxie; three stepsons, Ray Maple of Imboden, Lugean Maple of Alicia and Aubrey Maple of Concord; stepdaughter, Sheila Ingram of Jonesboro; sister, Lois Gibson of Ravenden Springs; 19 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service were held in the Old Military Cemetery with interment under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
