Juanita Johnson, 77, of Beaver, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in Eureka Springs.
She was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Seneca, Mo., daughter of James and Ida (Coleman) Day.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She attended the Church of Christ. She was a member of the Beaver Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary.
On Oct. 26, 1942, she married Walter Evan "Johnny" Johnson, who survives her, of the home. She is also survived by two sons, Walter Evan Johnson Jr. and wife Marian of Raleigh, N.C., and Richard Blaine Johnson of Sumner, Wis.; four grandchildren, Stephanie Moore and husband Daniel of Raleigh, N.C., Jennifer Cari Johnson of Durham, N.C., Walter Evan Johnson III and wife Julie of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Meredith Jeanne Johnson of Raleigh; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Aunee Moore of Raleigh, and Hunter Evan Johnson of Winston-Salem; and a sister, Claudine "Babe" Martin and husband William of Anderson, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and four sisters.
Graveside funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 13, at the Beaver Cemetery, with Mr. Jeff Taylor officiating. Interment followed the service, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
