WHITE HALL — Niona Selvey Gossage, age 87, of the Hardin Community, White Hall, died Sunday, November 1, 2009. Born February 12, 1922, at Cedar Falls (Conway County), Niona was a daughter of the late Davis Selvey and Matilda Adelade Carlock Selvey. Reared and educated in Conway County, she attended Casa Schools. She was a homemaker and has held memberships at both First Assembly of God in White Hall and Pine Bluff.

Niona was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas J. Gossage, whom she married August 24, 1940; a son, Larry; infant daughter, Oletta; brothers, Joseph, Aaron, Cyril, Loy, & Curtis; and sisters, Anna Lou & Sybil. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (J.D.) Craig of Pine Bluff, Anita (Allen) Cook of Branson, Missouri, Donna (John) Barnett of Little Rock, Rita (Larry) Persons of Mountain Home and Karen Gossage of White Hall; a son, Kent Gossage of Redfield; grandchildren, Mickey, Stacey, Chad, Don Jinna, Justin, Jeremy, Glenn, Brent, Jessica, Joshua & William; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at First Assembly of God in Pine Bluff, followed by Committal Services at 3 p.m. in Petit Jean Cemetery on Petit Jean Mountain by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
