Wife of William Pendleton Reasons
August 27, 1897 - October 20, 1974
Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Courtney Reasons, 77, of 519 Russell, who died Sunday night in a local hospital following a lengthy illness, will be held today at 2 p.m. in Young's Chapel with Dr. Roy Bagley and the Rev. Ralph S. Mann Officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Reasons was born in Bayou Chicot, La., on Aug. 27, 1897. She was a 55-year resident of Union County. She held many offices and was very active in the First United Methodist Church of El Dorado. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. R. L. "Wilda" Pledger of Memphis, Tenn.; one granddaughter, Miss Lynn Pledger of Memphis. Active pallbearers will be Perrin L. Jones, Dub Karriker, Rex Rorex, Wilson Irby, Bill Turnage and Harold Thurston.
