January 29, 1922 - January 26, 1970
Erwin W. Miles, 47, of 612 W. Cedar St., died early Monday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 29, 1922, in Portland, Ore., he was the son of W. Walker Miles and Anita Susanta Miles. He was owner and operator of Miles Real Estate Agency here and was president of the El Dorado Board of Realtors. Mr. Miles was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Jackson Miles; a son, Chris Miles of EL Dorado; three daughters, Miss Suzanne Miles, Miss Teresa Miles and Miss Donna Miles, all of El Dorado; one brother, Kenneth G. Miles of Bellevue, Wash. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Young's Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Barnard Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. (El Dorado Times - January 26, 1970)
