July 22, 1953 - February 3, 2018
Sonny Gene Polston, 64 of Strawberry died Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born July 22, 1953 in Aurora, Illinois to Lilburn Jerrell and Doris Lee Leggett Polston. He was a Master Electrician for the IBEW, worked many years for Midwest Lime in Batesville and was also an over the road truck driver. He was a Mason and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Troy Cannon.
Survivors include his wife Shelia Polston; son, Scott Polston (Mary) of Cave City; daughter, Suzanne Teel (Heath) of Walnut Ridge; his mother, Doris Polston of Strawberry; sister, Ramona Cannon of Strawberry; six grandchildren, Chloe Polston, Kullen Teel, Kane Teel, Haiven Teel, Trevor Teel and Tyler Teel; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dry Creek Cemetery at Lynn with Danny Davis and Kenny Townsley officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
No visitation is planned.
Pallbearers will be Heath Teel, Butch Miesner, Alan Adams, Billy Adams, Brett Cannon and Donnie Thacker.
Honorary pallbearers are Alfred Polston, Danny Adams, Travis Gray, Jim Gray and Bill Gray.
