DUMAS - Avinell "Ava" Wells Blount, 97 of Dumas, passed away October 20, 2014 in Monticello. She was born April 27, 1917 in Dexter, Arkansas, the daughter of Rufus Flenoy and Lillie Mae Paschall Wells.
Mrs. Blount was a member of Anderson Chapel Baptist Church since 1931 and was a homemaker.
Survivors are two granddaughters, Kitty Faye Blankenship Greenup and Karen Kay Whitaker Short; five great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and one Great-Great-Great grandson.
Visitation was held 6-8 p.m, Wednesday, Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held 2 p.m., October 23, at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Tyro Cemetery. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Hospital.
Arrangements were by Griffin Funeral Home, Dumas, Arkansas.
