Mrs. Ida Lee Burnham, 79, of 40 Clifton St, NW, died in the Camden hospital at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mrs. Burnham was the wife of the late O. J. Burnham whom she married in 1892. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving her death are three daughters, Mrs. P.J. Grandkoski and Mrs. Gordon Freeman of Pine Bluff and Mrs. Annie Ruth Scott of Camden; four sons, Gary H. Burnham of Shreveport, La., Ed Harland and Gilbert Burnham, all of Camden; three sisters, Mrs. Will McHenry of Jackson, Miss., Ms. Amber Culp and Mrs. Ray Henry both of Bearden; three brothers, L. B. Gilbert of Sparkman, Ed Gilbert of Bearden and George Gilbert of Baton Rouge, La.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. L. E. Holt of Texarkana and Rev. T. L. Harris of Camden. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery near Bearden. Active casket bearers are: W. A. Geddie. Ed Leysath, Colin Threadgill, George Bowers, C. C. Allen, and Prince Woolridge. Honorary are: C. I. Grayson, Joe Coan, Mike Berg, Dr. J. B. Jameson, Dr. E. J. Byrd, Ed Harrison, Matt Rothert, A. J. Watts, Hamp Patton, Walter Simms and Wilton Clark. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - December 5, 1953)
