Frances Lindsey Fell, age 87, passed away at Jefferson Regional Medical Center Tuesday, November 11, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Mother to three, and “Grammy” to seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, she devoted her life to her family, friends, and music. Since the age of fifteen, she had served as church pianist in eight cities in Louisiana and Arkansas, most recently for Calvary Baptist Church of Pine Bluff where she was a member for 30 years.
Mrs. Fell was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Hattie Lindsey of Bearden; a sister, Lucille Houchins of Houston, Texas; and two grandsons: Jordan Shepard of Little Rock, and Sgt. Robin Vincent Fell of Shreveport, La.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Ralph Fell of Pine Bluff; one sister, Ann Cottrell of California; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Kathy Fell of Findlay, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Jerry Brewington of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Nancy and Ken Shepard of Little Rock; fifteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Proctor Funeral Home, 442 Jefferson St., Camden, Ark. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers in her honor. Graveside services will be at Salem Cemetery in Bearden. Dr. Ira Campbell of Natchitoches, La. will officiate.
