Alice Mae Simpson, 80, of McGehee, AR passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Alice was born January 8, 1936 in Cherry Valley, AR to the late Andy S. Anderson, Sr. and Mary Aline Cagle. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star Keystone Chapter 349. Alice enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and cooking. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Henry Simpson; son, Eddie Paul Simpson; brothers, Ronald Anderson and Andy S. Anderson, Jr. Survivors include her son, Mark Simpson and his wife, Merry of McGehee, AR; sister, Jeanette King of Arkansas City, AR; grandchildren, Christopher Simpson and Elizabeth Simpson Yelvington and her husband, Keith; great-grandchildren, J.W. Yelvington and Emily Yelvington; several nieces, great nieces and nephews
Visitation will be 5-7pm Friday, October 21, 2016 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee with Dr. Ed Balducci officiating. Memorials may be made to Desha Masonic Lodge 643, P.O. Box 863, McGehee, AR 71654. Burial will follow at McGehee Cemetery.
