Howard C. Graham, aged 62 of Bearden died suddenly at his home at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Graham was Dry Kiln Foreman for the Bearden Lumber Co. He was a member of the Bearden City Council, a member of the First Baptist Church of Bearden where he had lived for the past 60 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Pierce Graham; three sons, Howard (Bud) Graham of Camden, Larry W. Graham, and Randall Graham of Bearden; five daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Graham of Siloam Springs, Mrs. Dorothy J. Dunn of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Joy Ann Quarles of Bearden, Mrs. Doris Smith of Crossett, and Peggy Manus of Magnolia; his mother and step-father, Mr and Mrs J. W. Crutchfield of Bearden; one sister, Mrs. Ida Joy Whitley of Quitman; and by 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Bearden First Baptist Church. Burial was in the Moss cemetery at Bearden by Proctor Funeral Home. (Camden News - May 15, 1967)
