Bentonville — The Rev. Burton Riddle, 73, of Hardy, formerly of Bentonville, died Wednesday in a Memphis hospital. Born March 9, 1901 in Vernon, Tex., he was a Presbyterian pastor for 28 years.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Frances Holmes Riddle of the home; one son, the Rev. David Riddle of South Carolina; three sisters, Miss Martha Riddle and Mrs. Mary DeGravelle of Jennings, La., and Mrs. Joe Holmes of Fredericksburg, Tex., and one brother, Doug of Baton Rouge, La.
Funeral will be in Hardy with graveside rites at 4 p.m. Sunday at Oakley's Chapel Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the cancer fund of the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis or to the building fund of Spring River Presbyterian Church at Hardy.
