Fred A. Stough, 83, of Magnolia, formerly of Las Vegas, NV, died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his residence in Magnolia.
Fred was born on November 27, 1933 in Ida Grove, IA to the late James and Ruby Stough. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Fred graduated from Ida Grove High School with a football scholarship to the University of Iowa. He was not able to go to college due to being drafted into the Korean War. Fred served his country in the United States Army for 4 years and was honorably discharged. He met Dorothy Gerrow Stough. Two years later they were married and had 6 wonderful children. He worked for General Telephone Company for 10 years. He went to work as the lead supervisor for the South West Region of the United States and retired at the age of 64. He then moved to Magnolia, where he spent the rest of his days with family.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Stough; and brother Ray Stough.
