Mary Evelyn Browning, 95, passed peacefully Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The youngest of three children, she was born March 18, 1921 to the late William Green and Lois Pearl Spivey of Selma, Arkansas.

Her sister, Ladell Biggs, and her brother, Bill Spivey, preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of McGehee High School and was married to the late Herbert E. Browning. She operated her own beauty shop in McGehee for fifty years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her nephews Don Spivey and his wife, Judy, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and David Spivey and his wife, Sandy, of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Graveside service will be Sunday, January 22, 2:30 p.m. at the McGehee Cemetery, Reverend Reggie Russell, officiating. Arrangements by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee, AR.
