Worrence Whitlow, 94 formerly of Strawberry, passed away Friday October 6, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.
He was born in the Grassy Lake Community south of Lynn, AR October 27, 1922 to Charles R. and Mattie Segraves Whitlow.
He served as the adult class Sunday school teacher several years at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn, AR. He was an army veteran. He retired as REA electrical engineer at Crawford Electric Cooperative in Bourbon, MO.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paulene Johnson Whitlow, whom he married December 2, 1944; his parents; 2 brothers, Wallace & Willard; and 2 sisters, Mildred & Faye.
He is survived by 2 sons, Lonnie (Hettie) & Paul Gene (Sheila); 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Millie Daggett.
Visitation is Monday October 9, 2017 from 1:30PM-2:30PM at the House-Gregg Funeral Home in Lynn, AR.
Funeral services follow immediately at 2:30PM with Don R. House officiating.
Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery in Lynn, AR under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, AR.

Paulene Whitlow, 81, of Strawberry, died June 19, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of Kennard and Allie Ludwig Johnson and lived in Strawberry most of her life. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist belief.
She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Worrence Whitlow, whom she married Dec. 2, 1944; two sons, Lonnie Whitlow, Beaufort, Mo., and Paul Whitlow, Strawberry; two sisters, Juanita Thornhill, Burleson, Mo., and Dorothy Springer, Sullivan, Mo.; and a brother, Chester "Buster" Johnson, Swifton.
Funeral was Monday at 10 a.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Lynn with Don House officiating. Burial was in Dry Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Whitlow, Russ Pigg, Ron Thieman, Andrew Thieman, Steve Mann and Dennis Pehle.
