Bob Sweetin, 83, of Leslie died Wednesday April 21, 2010 at Mountain Home, AR. He was a resident of Oxley and a lifetime member of V.F.W. and American Legion. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy and had worked as an operations engineer for Material Services. He loved working with his backhoe and enjoyed being outside on his farm near Leslie.
Bob was born October 25, 1926 in Benton, IL., the son of Roy Sweetin and Bessie (Lampley) Sweetin. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ann. Survivors include a sister, Ruth Tate of Benton, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be in Roller-Coffman Chapel Saturday, April 24th at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Ed Warren presiding. Visitation will precede the service Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Kuykendoll Cemetery by Roller-Coffman of Marshall.
Pallbearers are: James Fountain, Jim Blough, Braxton Rains, Lawrence Thurston,William Mesaros and Ron Hotare. Honorary pallbearers are Hershel Simmons and Vanny Toney.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Dr., Mountain Home, AR 72653
Lear Ann Sweetin, 82, of Leslie, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2005 at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert . One son, Richard Campbell. Two sisters, Lillian Keller of Helena, AR. and Louise Dalluge of Florida. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 12, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at the Leslie United Methodist Church with Norm Moyer officiating. Visistation Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Roller Coffman Chapel in Marshall. Burial in Kuykendall Cemetery, Leslie, Arkansas.
