PEA RIDGE - Winnie Shelton, 102, of Pea Ridge died June 19, 2006 at Rogers. She was born Feb. 2, 1904, in Pea Ridge to William Henry and Bettie Hannah Lee Martin. She was a lifelong resident of Pea Ridge and a graduate of Rogers High School. She attended Springfield Business University for three years. She was a stone clerk for L.N. Martin General Store in Pea Ridge for 25 years and was a librarian at the Pea Ridge Library for three years. She was a member of the Pea Ridge Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's group, was pianist for many years and taught the junior class at the church. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Winfield Scott Nichols and her second husband, William Harvey Shelton and two stepsons, Earl Nichols and Eugene Nichols.

Survivors include two stepsons, Russell Nichols and Ronald Shelton, both of Pea Ridge.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pea Ridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Steele and the Rev. Jerry Nichols officiating.

Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
