Charles L Stewart the son of Ulis A Stewart and Ruby (Meeker) Stewart. Mildred Kathryn (Wilford) Stewart the daughter of John Wilford and Edith (Tate) Wilford.


Charles L. Stewart

Charles L. Stewart, 70, of Ridgedale, Mo., formerly of Black Rock, died April 13, 2010, at his home.

Born July 29, 1939, in Harrisburg, he retired from General Motors in St. Louis after 32 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulis A. and Ruby Meeker Stewart.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Wilford Stewart, a native of Black Rock, whom he married Jan. 10, 1965; a son, Randall W. Stewart, Ridgedale, Mo.; two daughters, Anita Jones and husband Rick, Florissant, Mo., and Elaine Oberheim and husband Dustin, Overland, Mo.; a brother, Glenn A. Stewart and wife Raye, Highland; two sisters, Sue Pierce and husband Dennis, Ash Flat, and Deloris Lenz and husband George, Heber Springs; 10 grandchildren, Nick Stewart, Kassie Boehm, Justine Stewart, Morgan Stillman, Garrett Challans, Jarrett Challans, Charly Challans, Wyatt Jones, Caitlyn Oberheim and Courtney Oberheim; and two great-grandsons.

A celebration of his life will be held Monday, May 10, in Branson, Mo. The body was cremated.

Mildred Kathryn Stewart, 70, of Ridgedale, Mo., died June 8, 2017.

Born Dec. 21, 1946, in Pocahontas, she lived in Black Rock for 18 years before moving to St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Charles Stewart; her parents, John and Edith Tate Wilford; a brother, John Wilford Jr.; and her grandparents, James Miller and Jenny Tate, and Rev. Boone and Elizabeth Wilford.

Survivors include a son, Randall Stewart, Ridgedale, Mo.; two daughters, Anita Jones and husband Rick, Florissant, Mo., and Elaine Oberheim and husband Dustin, Overland, Mo.; three sisters, Elizabeth Pickney and husband Bob, Black Rock, Mary Morrison and husband Danny, Hot Springs, and Marie Cavenaugh and husband Gayland, Pocahontas; 10 grandchildren, Justine, Nicholas, Wyatt, Kassie, Morgan, Garrett, Jarrett, Caitlyn, Courtney and Charlayne; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Black Rock United Methodist Church with Bob McMillon officiating. Burial was in Oak Forest Cemetery. Bryan Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Wyatt Jones, Jarrett Challans, Garrett Challans, grandsons-in-law, Matt Stokes and David Boehm and brother-in-law, Danny Morrison.
