Wife of Billy Jake Coleman, US ARMY, SSG, KOREA, VIETNAM
Laura L. Coleman, 77, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014.
She was born on November 29, 1936 in Fitts, Oklahoma to the late John and Jessie Woolard.
She was a LPN at the Fort Roots VA Hospital for years. She was of the Baptist faith, a generous and understanding person, an avid gardener, an excellent cook and was the Rock of her loving family.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Billy Jake Coleman, one grandchild, Christeena Jones, one brother, J.D. Woolard and one sister, Pat Durbin.
Survivors include one son, David (Mary Gay) Coleman of Hot Springs, four daughters, Teena (Rick) Anderson of Hot Springs, Laura Charles of Hot Springs, Cynthia Elliott of North Little Rock and Regan (Chris) Kirtley of Mayflower, AR, one brother, Jim Smith of Hot Springs, and one sister, Frances Arnold of North Little Rock, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 P.M. in the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 12:00 Noon until service time.
After cremation, Mrs. Coleman will be buried at the State Veterans Cemetery.
