Bonnie Jean Dike went to be with our Lord on Dec. 7, 2013.

She was born on May 18, 1926, in North Platte, to John and Dorothy Weinberger.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard "Dick" Dike. They moved to Maumelle, Ark., 11 years ago to be near family. Together they attended First United Methodist Church of Maumelle.

Bonnie is also survived by her daughter, Denise (Michael) Wood; grandsons, Josh (Jessica) Wood and Aaron (Corey) Wood; and six great-grandchildren.


Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at First United Methodist Church of Maumelle. Burial will be at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. North Little Rock Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Richard "Dick" Dike, 91, of Maumelle, Ark., left this earth to join his beloved wife, Bonnie, in heaven on her birthday, May 18, 2014.

He was born in North Platte on Feb. 19, 1923, to the late Ernest and Ethel Dike. He grew up in the Curtis-Moorefield area. Dick served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the Union Pacific Fruit Express.

His greatest joys in life came from spending time with family, golfing and wood carving.

He was preceded in death by three siblings, Wilsey, Eddie and Irene.

He and Bonnie are survived by daughter, Denise (Michael) Wood, of Maumelle, Ark.; grandson, Josh (Jessica) Wood; great-grandchildren, Jade, Riley and Blaine; grandson, Aaron (Corey) Wood; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Michaela and Brianna, all of North Little Rock; and a large extended family throughout the Midwest. He is also survived by siblings, Beula, Tressa, Arthur "Bill" and Jim.


Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 23, with military honors at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. North Little Rock Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
