GULF BREEZE, Fla. — Helen Bonita Little-Harrison, formerly of Bentonville, Ark., passed away on March 6, 2013, at her home in Gulf Breeze, Fla. Bonita was born in Dillworth, Okla., on July 17, 1917, to Rory and Nora Harper Maltby.

She moved with her family to the Rio Grand Valley in Texas where she spent most of her early years. When a hurricane destroyed their home in Texas, the family moved back to Oklahoma to live with relatives until their home could be rebuilt. While in Oklahoma, she completed her high school education and married Jasper W. Little of Barnsdall. Following the war, Bonita and Jasper moved to the Rio Grand Valley where they opened and operated a grocery store.

In 1946, they moved to Bentonville, Ark., where they purchased and operated Littles' Save-Way IGA grocery store until 1958. She was later employed at Daisy Manufacturing as a purchasing bookkeeper until her retirement in 1972. Following the death of her husband Jasper in 1991, she married Tom Harrison of Bentonville in 1994. She spent her final years in Gulf Breeze, Fla., living near her son.

Bonita was preceded in death by her parents, Rory and Nora; two brothers, Leon and John Maltby; her first husband, Jasper Wesley Little; and her second husband, Tom Harrison.

She is survived by a daughter, Mignone Brooks of Little Rock, Ark.; and a son, Jasper Wesley Little of Gulf Breeze, Fla. She is additionally survived by four grandchildren, Charles Thomas and Sherry Buckler of Little Rock, Ark., Hugh Little of Long Beach, Calif., and Robert Little, Vienna, Va.; six great-grandchildren, Kandace Gerber of Maumelle, Ark., Jessica Corley of Memphis, Tenn., Brittany Buckler of Rogers, Ark., Christina, Julia and Kathryn Little of Vienna, Va.; and one great-great-grandson, Harper Gerber of Maumelle, Ark.

Visitation Saturday 9 to 10 a.m. at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers, followed by the funeral at 10 a.m. Interment in the Bentonville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions or donations may be made to Covanant Hospice of Pensacola, Fla.
