Pete Jack Moore, 73, of Route 1 Smackover, died at his home Tuesday night after a lengthy illness. Born in Pike County August 24, 1899, he was the son of Isaac and Zelphia Pierce Moore. He was a retired employe of Cross Refinery and was a member of the Maple Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Annie Alexander Moore, Smackover; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Clark, Smackover, and Mrs. Ora Mae Robbins, Springhill, La; six sons, A. O. Moore, Houston, Tex., Pete Jack Moore, Jr., Monroe, Mich., E. C. Moore and Bruce Moore, both of Smackover, Donald R. Moore of El Dorado and Jimmy Lynn Moore of Camden; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Lane of Doris, Calif., and Mrs. Nora Hile of Columbus, Tex., a brother, Gray Moore of Hurst, Tex., 21 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 3 p.m. at the Maple Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Edgar Glover officiating. Interment will be in the Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be H. H. McGough, Jr., Alton Traylor, Wayne Parks, Van Thompson, R. E. Wells and Roy Spain.
