Betty W. Parker, 89, of Smackover, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 18, 1927, to Thomas Delvin and Beatrice Garrett White in Norphlet. She formerly worked as a production clerk for Cross Oil Company, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Smackover.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Elsie White Norrell Anderson, and Joyce White Armstrong; and brother, Delvin Ray (Bud) White.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, James Doyle Parker of Smackover; sister, Charlotte Edwards (Don) of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church of Smackover with the Rev. Leon Dixon officiating, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time today.
Burial will follow at Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
