Elsie Laverne Spencer, 69 of Ward, died Monday, October 28, 2013. Elsie was born July 13, 1944 in Balch, AR to the late Arie and Verva (Evans) McCloud. Mrs. Spencer was a 25 year member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Mitchell Spencer of Ward; children Jimmy Wayne Arnold of Searcy, Terrie Angelina Goines and husband Eddie of Hackett, Lora Elayne Spencer of Little Rock, Lisa Diane Spencer and husband Kenneth Simmons of Richardson, TX, Crystal Lynn Spencer of Little Rock, and Terasa Aileen Gregg and Husband Christopher of Arlington, TX; grandchildren Eddie Goines, Saraha Dewitt, Christopher Goines, Tyler Davis, Eden Anderson, Ivan Spencer, James Spencer, Lilian Fitzpatrick, Andrik Gregg, and Draiden Gregg; and great-grandchildren Ethan Goines and Aiden Dewitt.

Services:
Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville. Graveside memorial service will be Noon, Monday, November 4, 2013 at
Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave., NLR.
