Charley Sylvester Hook, 88, of Clarksville, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Countryside Manor, Lamar.
Born Tuesday, April 24, 1923 in Spadra, Arkansas, to Leonard Randolf and Maggie Pearl (Hill) Hook he was a member of the Lutheran Grace Church for over sixty-seven years, a plumber, and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by two sons: Ron Hook, Sr., Clarksville, AR and Lanny Chares Hook, Griffin, GA; one daughter: Carolyn Louise Langlois, St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: wife: Edna Hook; and eleven siblings.
Visitation will by 6-8 P.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in their Chapel with Pastor Herb Swanson presiding.
Burial will be in Hess Cemetery, Coal Hill, AR.
Services are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home, Clarksville, AR.
Edna Hook, 78, of Clarksville died Monday, July 24, 2000, in Lamar. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and Missionary League. Daughter of Albert Lewis and Ella Navara Schreiner.
Funeral was at Grace Lutheran Church with burial at Hess Cemetery at Coal Hill under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by her husband, Charley; one daughter, Carolyn L. Langlois of St. Louis; two sons, Lanny C. Hook of Griffith, Ga., and Ronald H. Hook of Clarksville; two sisters, Ella Mae Wyllie of Columbia, Mo., and Margaret Rose Hoffman of Palo Verde, Calif.; one brother, Albert Schreiner Jr. of Long Beach, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Leonard Bollman, Stuart Stelzer, Leo Knoernschild, Jeff Haas, Herman Ahrens and Glenn Anderson.
